Today we mark Holocaust Memorial Day in school, remembering the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and all victims of genocide, and reflecting on the dangers of hatred and prejudice.
Earlier this month, Holocaust speaker Judith Hayman spoke with Year 8 about her family’s story, reminding pupils that the Holocaust does not begin with murder, but with hatred, and encouraging them not to be bystanders.
This week, Miss Aldis, History teacher and Pastoral Leader, is leading thoughtful and poignant assemblies, drawing on our faith’s message of love, dignity, and respect for all.
