Mount Carmel extra curricular Art Therapy and ECO group spent many weeks making decorations for 2 Christmas trees for the Accrington Community Events Tree Festival.
The Art group chose a friendship theme and made gingerbread people decorations and included kindness cards that had been written by pupils and staff and hung from the tree.
The ECO group made decorations out of recycled paper and card and they also included hanging gift tags which included Christmas messages. Wild flower seed packs were also hung from the tree for people to take and plant at their homes.
The trees look wonderful and are part of a display of around 50 Christmas trees which will be on display at The Dome in Accrington Town Square (the blue building). The festival is open from Thursday 27th until Sunday 30th November 2025. There will also be a free Santa's Grotto and children's crafts taking place in The Dome.
