Congratulations to Mount Carmel pupils Mia and Lexie who this week were selected for the Great Britain U17 Girls' Flag Football team.
The girls went through three rounds of trials against the best players in the country to make this year's squad of 20, and will now attend monthly training camps in Loughborough through the spring and summer, before a travel squad of 12 girls will be chosen to represent GB at the European Championships in September.
Quarterback Mia and Running Back Lexie were both part of the National Championship winning MC Saints team last summer and are hoping to repeat the feat this year.
Congratulations also go to two other members of the Saints family from outside MC - current Saints player Izzy was selected for the GB U14 Mixed squad for the second year in a row, and Saints alumni Maddie makes her third successive squad, joining Mia and Lexie in the U17s.
